These large dogs need much exercise to stay in shape and satisfy their nature, but on the other hand, they are not outdoor dogs, because they cannot stand fluctuations of temperature and humidity. Living in an apartment and having daily walks with much mental and physical stimulation is ideal for them. If the owner cannot provide the pet with enough exercise and training, it may become disobedient, aggressive and lazy. The short coat of this breed requires minimal grooming. Occasional brushing, bathing and rubdown are enough to keep it shiny.

These are muscular, short-coated, square-headed dogs with tight skin and a docked tail.
